Rosanna Arquette – Up Close and Personal
On Her Children: Her daughter is very spirited, like her mother, but as any parent understands, when raising a teenager there comes with it no manual on how to cope and handle their roller-coaster emotions, choices and decision-making process. For Rosanna, it’s no different. She also tries to find balance and patience as her daughter gets ready for the next phase in her own life, college. She expresses how, when she was younger herself, she was a “wild child”. However, today it’s a different world were living in and Rosanna parents very closely and supportively to ensure her children grow up stable and secure.
On Her Needs: When looking back on her life moments, she says that today she looks around and says, “What do I need? I have my small office and everything is right here in it. That’s all I need. I am used to living in small spaces and moving around as I ask, ‘why do we need so much?’” Rosanna has just moved and throughout the chaos was kind enough to talk with us, further showing her openness and non-pretentious manner to being human and giving.
“Every day” she says, “I try to find balance. I know it may not be 100%, but I am off a little anyway and it works for me. But I do try to be aware of making everything work for my children and partner along with how I am feeling for that day. It’s really hard and you need to be disciplined, otherwise it all crumbles. I try and meditate as well”.
