Your Information Diet
There is more to diet than what food we eat. The information we take in is also what we are feeding our minds, emotions and spirits. Today we are going to be focusing on our information diet.
Pay attention to what you allow into your mind. How are you nourishing yourself? Is it with beauty, inspiration and positive reminders? Or is with violence, fear and negative messages? You have the right to choose what you consume.
The Practice:
Do not watch, listen to or read any news.
The Benefit:
Being aware that you have the right to choose what you take in is something we often forget. Now I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be aware of current events, however what I am suggesting is that we can choose how much of what media we follow, when and for how long.
Pay attention to the messages you are allowing yourself to be fed from outside sources. These messages are helping to program your perspective and your reality.
