X is for X-perience

Book learning is nice. Wonderful, in fact.

But learning something by experience, and thus knowing it in a more thorough way, is entirely different. Even then, it takes an open mind to really experience something rather than our preconceived notion of it.

This is especially applicable when it’s related to consciousness, states of consciousness, and concepts about who and/or what we are (e.g. “we are all one”, “you are love”, etc.)

Until and unless you know it for yourself, it’s just another nice belief; a set of thoughts. (And we’ve already talked about why belief isn’t always such a good thing in the ABC: B is for Believe.)

And maybe it’s the case that you are so satisfied with your beliefs about who/what you are that you will never endeavor to really experience yourself fully.
