Your Conscious, Friendly Mind- Day 10

Day 10: Practicing Compassion for Those Who Are Negative

The more anyone attacks us with negativity, the greater our opportunity to grow in awareness and consciousness. If we fill that person with the positive vibrations of our heart, with compassion, with love, if we fill our own heart with prayers for that person and for our own limitations in forgiveness, compassion, and understanding, we are not only blessing the other person, we are blessing ourselves.

Whenever we send the positive vibrations of compassion and love to another, we are being loving and forgiving to not only that person; we are first and foremost being loving and forgiving to ourselves. When compassion blossoms, it brings its most powerful blessings to the heart in which it is born. To cultivate compassion, begin opening the heart to see and feel more deeply the intense emotional and mental pain that afflicts the other person.

We support a person who is physically disabled.  Our heart melts, our heart aches, for anyone who is mentally ill or cognitively disabled. We need just as much compassion for anyone in a negative frame of mind.  We might know fully well that a person is negative.  As a conscious human being, however, we will not further bombard or burden that person with any negative thoughts or energy from us. We know that everyone has good in them if we look a little deeper, so we reinforce that good.

When we add to the negative burden anyone carries, we are damaging that person. We are polluting the environment and we will be condemned for it for we are a part of the pollution of the planet.
