Your Conscious, Friendly Mind – Day 23

With that Eye, Buddha saw the purity of his mind or No-Mind. With that Eye St. Francis of Assisi, St. Theresa of Avila, saw Jesus as the one constant companion. This is the essence of keeping company with the Positive, with the eternal Presence, in the present.

We can learn to see with the eyes of the Spirit, depending upon our yearning and longing for the vision and experience. It all depends how one feels intensely the need for the God vision. Remember Him/Her all the time and feel His/Her presence in everything within and without. There is nothing in this world that is not Divine.

When we rise up and bring our energies together to focus inwardly in contemplation and meditation, we discover a new, untouched dimension.  We discover the wealth and treasure that lie waiting in the Holy of Holies, in the shrine of our own heart.  There God sits as the Eternal Presence, our one Beloved.

God is not sitting in silence in our hearts.  God sings a song of eternal joy. God is calling us all into that world of joy, which is the shrine of our heart, the essence of our being, our own Self. Though we seek and search outside, depending on external things to find happiness, we find true happiness only through our longing and our deepening desire to move within.

1. Practice responding to the faintest stirrings of your own heart.  These are the quickenings of your soul. They are the delicate and vulnerable stirrings of the new life that seeks to be born through you.  Practice noticing them, listening to them, spending some time with them, following the thread of their inspiration as the thread of your own unfolding peace and joy.
