Your Conscious, Friendly Mind – Day 26
We need to first accept that change is the law of life, and also that we are changeless at the core of our Being. Our spiritual search is then essentially to find the sources of our unhappiness. We are inspired by the thought that in essence we all are Divine and our pristine nature is Divine nature or Buddha nature. We are in essence inseparable from divinity and pure bliss.
In order to realize this innate purity, we need to wake up to the reality that fulfillment of desires for a person or a thing does not keep us happy for long; we start to get disappointed and then the cycle of dislike takes over. The weeds of aversion and negativity grow in the garden of our mind only to postpone the good things from happening. Negative emotions can only pollute our subconscious mind, and following the law of attraction, attract negative situations and circumstances, which in turn bring stress, pain, and suffering.
Like a good gardener if we are awake, mindful, meditative, then our light of consciousness will burn these weeds along with their seeds. Now peace and happiness blossom in your eternal garden of Mind.
1. Conscious breathing helps you to slow down your racing thoughts that cause the stress. Anytime you find yourself rushing around with too much to do remember to watch your breath. Just relax your body completely, from the top of your head to the tip of your toe, and breathe in and out slowly and rhythmically.
