Anodea Judith – The Global Heart Awakens
I call this putting the culture on the couch. The culture is the vehicle in which we travel to the future. That vehicle needs some healing or it won’t make it across the threshold of initiation. It won’t last into the future.
And if we heal the vehicle we’re traveling forward in, then where are we going?
Well, that’s the million dollar question that becomes apparent when we truly understand who we are and where we’ve been. In the book, I have two distinct themes that I see running through history: the theme of the chakra system, as representing stage of consciousness and organizing principles, and what I call “valences” of masculine and feminine value systems that ruled over different periods of our collective childhood.
In terms of the chakra system, based on the yogic energy centers of the body, we are moving slowly upward from the third chakra based on power and aggression, ego and autonomy, to the fourth chakra, which represents love, compassion, peace, cooperation, balance and spiritual awakening.
In terms of masculine and feminine I see that we are experiencing the reawakening of the divine feminine, for an integration of adult masculine and feminine archetypes working in partnership. Their union creates the Divine Child, which I see as the future. That future needs to be based on love, or the child will not survive. If we don’t learn to balance power with love, we are likely to destroy ourselves.
In your book you talk about how we don’t give up power to move toward love, but combine or balance the two. Can you say more about that?
