But do we have the consciousness to match that power? Do we have the maturity to handle that power wisely? If not, then what will it take? What that requires is a maturation process and a spiritual awakening to our own divinity—an awakening to both the masculine and the feminine as divine. Only then can we combine them, and form a true partnership.

You talk about how the union of divine masculine and divine feminine creates the Sacred Marriage, and that this is part of the new myth. What do you mean by myth and why is that important?

Long, long ago, the Great Mother, as nature, was considered divine. She represented the ground of being, that which was immediate, that which fed us, supported us, nurtured us in our collective childhood. But the Father was missing. Then the Father was elevated to the status of God, first through polytheism, then through monotheism, and worship of the mother was pointedly destroyed, even forbidden and severely punished. She went underground and was forgotten.

We need to reclaim the sacred in both masculine and feminine and bring them together in cooperative partnership, as equal partners in the dance of creation. The result of this in mythology is known as the Divine Child, and that child is nothing less than the future. We are becoming parents of the future, and our purpose, as I see it, is to create Heaven on Earth.

What concerns you most about today’s challenges? 

Cultural stupidity. I mean here we are on the brink of the most exciting awakening into adulthood, our graduation as it were into unlimited powers of creation, and we are flooding the networks with mindless entertainment, destroying the environment with greed, wasting precious lives in war, and broadcasting violence everywhere. We have the most incredible information network that has ever existed, and we’re flooding it with spam, pornography, and advertising. We’re staying asleep when we need to wake up.
