John Edward – Talking to Spirit: Communicate. Appreciate. Validate.
OMTimes Magazine was able to sit down with John Edward and get some more insight into his life and career.
Q: Can you describe how and when you knew you had special abilities?
I exhibited psychic abilities from an extremely early age and I was deemed “special” by many in my family. The fact that I would uncannily know family history and events that took place prior to my birth solidified that fact. Because no fuss was made over these early experiences, I maintained as normal a childhood as possible. Since psychic phenomena was so accepted by my family, it was easy for my abilities to flourish. At age fifteen, I had been doing psychic fairs out on Long Island, New York.
I embarked on developing my own abilities after an encounter with famed psychic Lydia Clar. Lydia made me aware of my abilities and told me that my life’s work would be teaching people about it. That mission has been channeled into my work as a medium which enables me to bring comfort and hope to people by reuniting them with those who they loved, lost…and crossed over.
Q: Can you describe how you got the idea to form “The FIVE”?
First it began with maybe reaching a certain amount of people and each week would be different. I wanted to create more of a community feeling versus an entertainment-based show. It was and is important to get people to evolve with me as the show grew.
This idea allows the audience to connect on a deeper level. The idea came about after an overwhelming response to my monthly newsletter. The FIVE developed from different participants who grew into a community that I can enjoy and cherish. I enjoy my work schedule and like to call the shots because I feel that I’m at a point in my life where I can and I know what works for me.
