Your Pain Can Lead to Your Passion, Part 2
Marlise: It’s a total match for you, Laurie. It takes a lot of courage just to step into something brand new. So thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you’re doing.
Robin: Hi. Robin here. Marlise, hello. I think my biggest pain that I recognized is the way I connect to everybody. I’ve been like this since the day I was born. I have found myself struggling but then shifted into focusing on forgiveness.
Within 20 minutes of one of your Stillness Sessions a voice in me said very clearly, “You’ve asked your ex-boyfriend to forgive you, your mother to forgive you, and your dad to forgive you. Why don’t you just now forgive yourself?”
In that moment, I broke down into tears. I saw a picture of me standing in front of myself saying in a lighthearted, lovely way, “You know what? It’s time to forgive yourself, Robin.” And things cascaded off of me.
Marlise: What exquisite understanding you moved into. I can feel that lightness. [Laughs]
So during those times that we might think we are “falling down a bit”, it’s really not falling down. It’s about getting in deeper connection to the truth of who you. Which is so beautiful that you allow yourself to go through the process, you’re all moving into new awareness – and “how pain can lead to your passion” can light the way. Thank you all for sharing so authentically.
