Barbara Marx Hubbard: Visions of a Universal Humanity
Probably even more miserable than if you were depressed or not receiving these messages.
Yes, I think you get worse because you have this experience where you think, “This is the way it is.” And people get stoic. They’re going to have jobs they don’t like and they’re going to have lives they don’t like. “This is what it is and there’s nothing more to be done,” that’s the whole attitude. But once you get awoken to the fact that you are capable of responding to your own inner impulse to create and you see a few examples around you, then you can’t get away with just giving up anymore. And then starts the birthing of yourself as a universal human and you have to go in and take that higher guidance and say, “I want to be that guidance internalized, I want to be that essential self myself.” And then you have to grow up, and growing up is why you need 50, 60, 70, 80 and beyond.
Going back to your question of whether I’ve been depressed, I’m amazed at myself at how I can still have local self episodes, I can still have various things, but I’m at least awake enough to recognize what’s happening. I shift my attention to essence, I shift my attention in my work with the 52 Codes [for Conscious Evolution], even to a higher self which I call my universal self which has frequencies of a Christ self. It feels to me like there’s evolution towards to your own essence but then there’s involution which is the descent of the supramental – the descent of the Christ consciousness. I’m going to take a jump and say that I feel that consciousness in me that is moving towards the new era of evolution. I relate it most clearly to a Christ consciousness and it’s an evolutionary Christ consciousness. I come from a Jewish agnostic background and it’s not a religion, but I think that Jesus was a future human. I think he came in with a template of the next story of evolution.
