Barbara Marx Hubbard: Visions of a Universal Humanity
The question I’ve been asking myself and others is “What is being born in you that’s new? Do you feel something emerging in you? And if so, what does it feel like?” What’s happening to me is that those parts of my being that were let’s say, more spiritual and less intellectually acceptable, are the ones I’m now bringing out. And as I’m doing that I’m finding that there’s more of it that’s able to be embodied in me. There’s a whole step of embodiment to what we know, of incarnation of what we know. You can take it as a new era of humanity, maybe eventually a new universal species.
When you combine Christ love, love for one another, love yourself, love for God above all else, love of nature and others, and you love yourself as a natural Christ, as a divine being just being born as that, then you can nurture what’s being born and what’s new in you and in the world in all humility as you would a newborn child. If you didn’t know that a newborn child could grow up, you wouldn’t be able to stand it. It would be very hard. I don’t think anybody would be able to bring the child up. But we all know that the child has growth potential. Well, we don’t really know what a mature humanity looks like. We don’t really know what a planet that coordinates its creativity looks like. We have to therefore tap in and take whatever models we can.
