The archive of Pepperdine University, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office, the California Highway Patrol, Caltrans, The Malibu Times, and Malibu Surfside News will lend their resources to the film.

Omtimes: How can documentaries and other movies lead to social movements?
Michel: Documentaries are the voice of reality in film. Though most are slanted in views of the film makers people take them to gospel. Documentaries are regarded as fact and help to a higher level when being analyzed. They inform and help change perception. Film entertains and starts discussions, but doc’s are the core to change…Just look at Michael Moore’s doc’s or even go back further Leni Reifenshal Triumph Of The Will this film changed history and it was a propaganda film for the Nazi’s.
Omtimes: Why are more and more filmmakers turning to Kickstarter to fund projects?
Michel: It’s free money, you give a couple of little trinkets and people feel like they have participated in making a film. But it’s a rub because if you invest $100 in a film and it makes $100m but you can’t participate then how do you feel? You picked the right film or taken advantage of. I for one would feel taken advantage of that is why our film will not allow anyone to get rich from it. Half of the profits if any will go to all those who helped make this film and donated time, energy and equipment and the other half will go to The Emily Shane Foundation that helps children with learning and processing issues who can’t afford tutors.
