Jae Choi: Walking the Walk and Juicing the Juice
Typically, our life’s passion inspires our work, but in the case of Tribest founder Jae Choi, work inspired a whole new lifestyle.
Back in 1989, selling processed foods was a thriving business for Jae, but then so were his migraine headaches and litany of skin disorders. After Jae opened his own business, he was approached by a Korean juicer manufacturer who asked if he could work with his Green Power (today the best-selling juicer Green Star Elite) to bring it to the U.S. market. Quickly learning that the juicer was superior to the top brand currently in the states, he began importing the juicer. To sell it, Jae started doing research. Why do people juice instead of just eating the fruits and vegetables?
Diving into a plethora of information, videos and seminars online, he became fully convinced of the lifestyle. He stopped drinking beer, gave up cooked foods, and started juicing! The result: Jae lost about 30 pounds. His severe skin problems and frequent migraine headaches went away, and he became significantly more energetic.
Jae became enthralled with the research of Dr. Max Gerson, who documented natural treatments to activate the body’s extraordinary ability to heal itself through an organic, vegetarian diet and raw juices. The technology and features of Tribest’s flagship Green Star Elite juicer is in large part inspired by Gerson’s findings. Life for Jae became about removing the toxins from the body and supplying the nutrients needed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
