Mark Waldman – Words Can Change Your Brain
The brain is designed to bring more attention to the negative, but we have a conscious choice to give it a spin and keep it re-trained. We can move each time to the present moment and realize that it’s really wonderful. If we chose to be conscious of each, we can train ourselves to become overwhelmingly positive. That seems to be what eliminates the conflict between people.
Omtimes: Mr. Waldman, is there anything you would like to add to this Interview? Maybe a personal message to our readers?
Mark Waldman: What we think is very important is that when you’re in a conversation, you choose to consciously to put your whole self into it. If you begin to feel that sense of stress and fatigue, stop what you’re doing. We found that yawning and stretching is the fastest way to relax.
Ask yourself about what your deepest internal value is for this moment. Think of someone you love, and then speak slowly, as I do now, with that friendly smile. We think that this small action of compassion and peace should bring much peace to the world. That is our message.
