Sacred Breath

By Larry Melamerson

Sacred Breath is a process that increases your ability to feel and resolve the effects of your karma. The act of sacred processing will help you cleanse and release stored negative energy in your body. Sacred touch activates your Sacred Breath like a match or lighter, igniting one’s Kundalini.

The sacredness of being touched from the heart, creates the space for transformation. Your own karmic awareness will determine the depth of your experience. Healing is like peeling the layers of an onion. One layer is peeled off only to reveal another layer. Healing is a process of going inward.

Cranial-sacral movement in combination with breathing will create a very powerful healing process when the ego is ready to release. Connected oral and anal breathing through spinal oscillation and waving is the premise of Kundalini work. The breathing rhythm and skeletal movement pattern is tracked and brought into consciousness when an individual is ready.

When we are open, we experience pleasure, liveliness, and vitality. Many of us, however, find that our bodies feel painfully constricted. We develop coping strategies early in life to ward off difficult, uncomfortable feelings. These defenses become habitual and can inhibit us from experiencing joyful, expansive feelings as well as pain. We become frozen and trapped in our defenses, and can become physically ill. These symptoms are cries for help from our wounded past, a past that may keep us from being fully available to the present. Our contracted self reveals itself in our character structure and body armor.

To find our free, authentic self we must discover our armoring, self-distortions that turn us into unnatural adults. As we shed unnecessary layers of armor and facade we begin to discover our true, naturally sexual and spiritual natures.

W. Reich wrote over 20 books and 450 articles, bringing the body into psychology.

“Body Language” — the term is now commonplace. It wasn’t always that way. With Freud and psychoanalysis everything was the mind. Reich was the first to bring the body into psychoanalysis, and to physically touch the client. Blocks are the contractions in the organisms which prevent the free flow of energy. It appeared to Reich that these appear as rings at a number of points in the body. Reich would work with the seven regions of the body to dissolve resistance. The resistance is what we build up throughout our life to block affect. Reich takes each developmental stage and shows how society forbids certain kinds of expression of energy like homosexuality, causing the body to armor for survival reasons. As a result of armoring, the sexual impulse is changed from something natural to something manipulated. Inability to express or show sexuality can cause mental and physical health issues. Reich saw sexual energy as in two parts. Buildup and release. Charge and discharge. Kundalini bodywork takes the process further by attempting to initiate the Chakra system through breath release techniques.

The Astral plane is a place where people go when they leave their bodies. It is located between the 3rd eye and the Crown chakra. It is the still point, a safe place where we go to organize our thoughts. It is a mental domain for processing our subconscious thinking, prophecy, and creativity. It is also the place where we go to disassociate from our physical bodies.

Being in your body while being touched is about being in control for many people. Post traumatic events, phenomenon can push people into their heads, causing them to disassociate from their physical bodies. It is human nature to keep the ego as the main controller, yet personal growth is more readily available when the ego is more relaxed. Trust is more important than knowledge when it comes to physical touch, and it takes real time and empathy to achieve.

I simply teach you how to feel pleasure without leaving your body. Most people have to fantasize their imagery, 3rd eye operation while most have forgotten how to simply feel through the rest of the body, because of a painful experience(s) in their life. I help you to reawaken, initiate your Chakra system and feel the body for increased sensitivity and pleasure.

Sacred Breath and Healing brings together elements of many psychological orientations, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, gestalt, and bio-energetic (Neo-Reichian) approaches. I can read and track the client’s emotional consciousness by observing their eyes and breathing pattern. Basically from observation, I can tell if they’re in the body or somewhere else. It is important, absolute that the client tries to stay in their body, yet everyone will dissociate at times during a session.

In a typical spa treatment or a relaxing massage session the eyes are usually kept closed. Here the eyes are closed or open depending on the work that is being done. The ‘eyes’ tell me where you are at in the session.

In general, dissociation is a defense mechanism that everyone uses every day. In its most common form, mild dissociation includes daydreaming, “zoning out,” or doing things on “autopilot.” Dissociation is a form of self-hypnosis.

Many people who have been sexually abused as children report leaving their bodies and watching the abuse from above themselves. This is a more extreme form of dissociation than simple daydreaming. Instead of having to be emotionally experiencing sexual abuse, the mind helps your soul escape. Our work is about reclaiming the body by focusing the eyes in a way that feels safe (EMDR).

Yes, there is a direct correlation between your feelings and the health of the body. The body never lies! Sexuality is affected by your personal history and belief system. Shame and guilt over gender, orientation, and dysfunctional family abuse will shut you down and/or cause unhealthy practices and behavior. The body is a portal into the past. Being touched can be pleasurable or painful based on your own personal interpretation. Pleasure is the goal of my work, yet sometimes rebooting one’s software can be challenging. Angels symbolize for me, freedom and power. They have the power for levity and flight. Expression and movement is a good thing.

Being happy, playful is the way. Contentment and gratification follows when you fully let-go of control, and let love come into your life. In the words of Louise L. Hay, “Heal Your Body” and “You Can Heal Your Life.” It takes a good coach-therapist to bring the libido up to speed. Sacred Breath and Healing releases old karma, making room for healthy feelings and a disease free body.

Unexplained symptoms? It could be past trauma. Are you experiencing physical or emotional symptoms that no one is able to explain? If so, you may be suffering a traumatic reaction to a past event. The body holds the truth by way of cellular memory. I can help you listen to your body through touch and dialog.

Many of the traumas we receive during the adventure we call life have a significant emotional ingredient or reaction associated with them. By working hands-on with dialogue we together facilitate the release of the affected tissue concurrently with resolution of the associated emotional issue. The results is based on your readiness to heal and process the event (s).

Physical dyslexia (lost of feeling in the body) is cause by a post traumatic stress disorder. Touch becomes less sensitive and deep fascial pressure becomes more painful. Physical intimacy becomes problematic and less pleasurable. Tantric massage can help and bring you back into your body.

Many people actually hold their breath upon the beginning of their orgasmic flow. This constricts the energy body and can be a way to unconsciously attempt to not lose control into the bigger energy feeling. Holding the breath, tightening the stomach, buttock and leg muscles, and tensing the upper body upon orgasm is restricting the orgasm from being felt fully in the body. Mouth breathing can sometimes help release the defense mechanism of control, letting go orally by moving the tongue and lips.

Tantra practice shows you with breath awareness how you can oxygenate the body and build more natural Qi/Prana flow. This energizes the body instead of depleting it. Adding sound toning naturally opens the throat and as the throat opens and relaxes, the body follows. A slower and more conscious movement pattern adds to a more loving release and greater health benefits to your Tantric experience.

Relaxing into a natural state of being is only possible when you are willing to let go of control. The key is allowing the body to move without having the brakes on all the time. This is where you need a teacher to guide and show you the way.

Orifice breathing is about relaxing the guardian muscles around the mouth (upper body) and the anus (lower body). The polarity between the upper chakras (heaven) and lower chakras (earth) is what forms circular breathing. The combination and synchronization of thoracic-intercostal, abdominal, and pelvic breathing is what creates core movement and visceral health.

By using dialog and touch, I teach you how to enter the sacred spaces within your own body. Remember, whenever we guard our bodies with tension in a chronic way as in oral and anal retention, it does more harm than good.

Awakening the sacred gates, allows you to experience ‘The Holy Spirit.’ This is done by energizing the P and G-spots together at the base of the pelvis and moving the spine in a wave like motion (snake-like), and allowing the breath to ignite the water element from the kidneys to the perineum. In an aroused state, the Kundalini Shakti feels so good and vital that you will want to ‘sing the body electric’.

What makes my work special is that I focus equally on the inner child and adult aspects of the personality. I find that many of our problems are caused by old, unresolved emotions that simply need to be felt and integrated in a safe and gentle way. We together create a healing space for processing and sacredness by addressing all seven centers.

We live in a culture that teaches us to ignore and suppress our feelings. Suppressed emotions can cause negative thinking, unhappiness which in turn may result in destructive behaviors, ill health, and relationship difficulties. Furthermore, as we suppress our emotions we lose touch with our bodies.

Children who have been sexually initiated early in life are more unconventional in their eros behavior. They usually have more fear around intimacy and trust when it comes to relationships. Touch can be a trigger, and cause weird feelings and interesting erotic excitement. Sexual fetishes can be a by product from these experiences. Tantric touch combined with Sacred Breath can be a catalyst for self discovery, awareness, and deeper acceptance of tactual sensation.

Internalized shame and guilt denies us access to our erotic expression as a vital energetic source, resulting in dissociation from our authentic feelings. Sacred intimacy begins with the inner child. Erotic empowerment helps us move from fear and powerlessness to freedom and liberation.
