WALK-IN – Up Close with the Director Scott Blum
Do they really exist? Do you know any?
I believe our souls are all connected to each other within a fabric of interweaved consciousness. And as we become more sensitive to the subtleties of energy that is constantly moving through our lives, it becomes more and more clear when souls other than our own are in our presence. Each of these souls and experiences are as unique as life itself, and I believe there are times when someone is finished with their body and another soul may have use for it. As time goes on, I have met multiple people that have found the term Walk-In a useful description of what has happened in their life whether to themselves or loved ones.
Ruth Montgomery has claimed Ben Franklin, Gandhi , Christopher Columbus and many other popular historic figures were Walk-Ins, do you agree?
I believe there are times in history when great things are required for the benefit of everyone on earth. And although I don’t doubt the existence of great individuals, I believe there are occasions when spiritual support is absolutely necessary to accomplish what is needed. This support can come in many forms whether it’s through meditation, prayer, or an angelic soul that walks on earth in one form or another.
In your film the main character inhabits a new body, why did you choose a non-human form?
One of the most interesting things for me when it comes to metaphysics is how personal relationships are impacted by profound spiritual experiences when those same experiences are not shared by their loved ones. Therefore when facing the tragedy of losing a loved one, I felt it added an interesting twist that the soul of the wife’s husband remained in the house in the body of a puppy while being able to see his former body in the presence of his wife.
