Catherine Kennedy McCracken has long had a fascination with holistic health and total body wellness. Yoga, meditation, good nutrition and taking time for self-nurturance are essential aspects of her daily lifestyle. So when Catherine founded her innovative botanical-based skincare company five years ago, she knew that her offerings would be much more than skin deep.

“I have always believed that when you feel good about yourself on the inside, you truly are beautiful on the outside,” Catherine says. “The energy that you exude is completely different. You react to situations in a more balanced way and others even treat you more respectfully. So for me, skincare has always been about much more than simply nourishing your skin.

I wanted my company to inspire others-women, especially-to nurture their whole self.”

Based in northeastern Ohio, mostly everything about Catherine’s entrepreneurial venture speaks to the whole person-beginning with the name: I AM Self-care Skincare. The company’s message gives equal weight to skincare and self-care, and encourages customers to take a mind/body/soul approach to beauty by combining the use of I AM products with practices that support greater self-awareness. The product names further illuminate I AM’s self-empowerment philosophy. “With names such as Joyous, Infinite, Serene, Glorious and Vibrant, our products speak to attributes, emotions and states of mind that offer the ultimate whole health experience,” Catherine conveys.
