Tough Love with Kyle Keller
Omtimes: Tough Love included some strong mixed personalities that surrounded you regularly. How did you find your way and was it something that posed a challenge to you?
Kyle Keller: Well, I mean there were eight of us, four girls and four guys, and we all had very big personalities. At times we got along famously and other times we couldn’t stand each other. I’m a very sensitive person. I am a very strong willed person and I’m stubborn, but I am also very sensitive and my feelings do get hurt. I think I cried every episode (laughs).
Ninety percent of what they film goes on the cutting room floor. They only use ten percent, but there were some fights and there were a lot of tear. At the end of the day we are a family. We all went through, the eight of us, went through this experience that no one else will ever go through because it was ours. I still talk to some of the cast members.
I don’t talk to everybody. I’m not friends with everybody. There are some people that were on the show with me that I thought were my friends but then turned out to be fake, and I feel bad. I feel bad for them, but it’s their insecurity not mine. I would say Judy, who was the widow on the show, to this day is one of my closest friends. We talk weekly. We are very, very close. Stu, I talk to him a lot and then Sariya is like my little sister. I talk to her weekly as well.
