Tough Love with Kyle Keller
So I figured this is the show that I could definitely see myself doing. I am not going to lie I was a little calculated on things that I said or did just because I knew that at the end of the day my career was on the line. I was true to myself the whole entire time but I just kind of was very aware of my surroundings and I was aware of what I said in terms of cursing. I didn’t swear a lot. I just wanted to make sure that I still stayed true to myself and was just kind of watching it.
Omtimes: It sounds like you saw the experience more as a positive than a negative. Am I correct?
Kyle Keller: 100%. It was a very, very positive experience, and I think with any show like that its therapy. We are going through relationship boot camp. According to Steve Ward, we were the relationship rejects in the United States (laughs). They cast the show for six months and had over 30,000 people audition for the show and they chose eight of us.
For me, it was such a great honor to be able to be a part of that even though I was relationship challenged (laughs) but I took everything very, very seriously.
I learned so much about myself and at times it felt like the worst experience of my life just because it was so stressful.
You’re tired, there are so many personalities, you’re butting heads, there’s a camera in your face all the time, but at the end of the day I feel like did change for the better. It really did change my life, so it was also one of the best experiences of my life as well. I wouldn’t change anything.
