Tough Love with Kyle Keller
Omtimes: Based on your past and present relationship issues, do you feel this show helped you with that aspect of your life as well as your future relationships?
Kyle Keller: Yeah! Being in the friend zone is hard because I really liked Rusty on the show. I think he was the one guy I was attracted to physically of course, and then getting to know him we kind of realized that the chemistry really wasn’t there. Of course a lot of it gets edited out and we don’t see it and yes I was bummed when he initially put me in the friend zone because I liked him.
I think it was more that I just thought he was so handsome and I think I wanted it to work.
I didn’t really get it, and then when I saw him on our home town days in San Diego we talked and I realized yeah I am attracted to you, but the chemistry isn’t really there. We really are friends. Being in the friend zone, and I put many guys in the friend, it’s hard. Sometimes you really want things to work because the person is awesome and there are so many qualities you like about them, but at the end of the day if the chemistry just isn’t right, you can’t force it. It is what it is.
Omtimes: What do you feel always put you in the “friend zone” in your relationships in the first place?
Kyle Keller: I think the fact that when I get nervous I talk way too much. I talk a lot as is, but I was nervous. There were cameras in my face. I mean let me tell you, when you kiss somebody on a reality show, the camera is about six inches away from my face. It is uncomfortable and awkward, so I think I was kind of afraid to get a little bit intimate with him because I knew it was on national television.
