Many times with the flu, colds, and other health issues we may come down with bronchitis. Then we end up going to the doctor and taking antibiotics which get rid of the problem but kill all of our good bacteria in our gut at the same time…  thus depleting our immune system.

1. Andrographis Paniculata or as some call it “The King of Bitters” is great! And bitter things are good for you… you need bitter in your body to keep things in balance.

Andrographis Paniculata is a shrub that grows in the tropics and is a great antibiotic, anti-inflammatory helping with arthritis, sinusitis, and other inflammatory conditions. It also works well in the treatment and prevention of cancer and reducing tumor growth, plus studies show it inhibits the growth of colon cancer cells.

Andrographis Paniculata lowers blood glucose levels and also stimulates the immune system thus helping with bronchitis. And it helps to prevent colds and flues and it also calms the mind, body, and spirit. The normal dose most people recommend for andrographis for adults is 30 mg per day… it’s powerful and you need very little of it to do your body good.

2. Paud’arco Bark Powder – Way back in the 1800’s it was noted that Paud’arco increased red blood cell production and also helps with inflammation, and it’s a great anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent too. Paud’arco Bark can be ordered online or asked for at your local health food store. Taking 100 to 200 mgs daily works well for bronchitis and other infections (for the average adult).



3. Turmeric is amazing as a powerful anti-inflammatory agent (and has be talked about as a super herb for treating just about everything) and also works well as great anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent for bronchitis. It can be found in health food stores and drug stores in 600 mg capsules and taking 3 to 6 of these twice a day (for the average adult) works well for bronchitis.

4. Garlic is an herb that grows all over the world is one of the best immune boosters you can find and it’s very inexpensive and it works wonders for bronchitis. Forget about all the tablets and capsules on the market, just chop up two cloves of fresh garlic a day and take it with water or juice and you’ll be doing your body a great service (garlic is a superfood for healing). And garlic lowers cholesterol and triglycerides, lowers blood pressure, relaxes vessels in your heart with nitric oxide, and even helps with weight control… one of the best all-around herbs in my book.

5. Probiotics – Take some probiotic bacteria in capsule form which you can find at any drug store… or take Kimchi, or natural sauerkraut, or yogurt, all of which contain lots of great probiotic bacteria. Can’t hurt to make sure your immune system is working great so you can fight off infections.

6. Chlorella – Take Chlorella 3,000 mg per day, it contains over 60 different nutrients your body needs. Your body sees Chlorella as food so it’s absorbed into your body right away. It also contains all the essential and none essential proteins that your body needs to create antibodies to fight off infection. Chlorella can be ordered online or asked for at any health food store… it’s very popular now.

Duration – Take these herbs for no more than 7 days… some of them are very powerful and should not be used for long periods of time. In fact, all herbs should be used for short periods of time… only food like garlic and chlorella should be taken for long periods of time.
