Danette May: The Healthy Living Expert with Heart!
I know when someone feels good about himself or herself, each has more capacity to get out and enjoy nature, to enjoy his or her families and friends, and love more deeply. I know that feeling good about one‘s self creates healthier relationships with your spouse or partner, your family, friends, and associates. As your openness grows, oneness with others increases, and your satisfaction in all your relationships increases ten-fold.
We also want to feel like we have the energy to serve and to resonate our purpose in this world. We all know intuitively that it is a lot more difficult to feel inspired, to feel energetic, and to feel on point, when our bodies do not match up with our souls.
JVM: What is your secret to looking to good? I imagine you just eat a celery stick or two a day?
Danette May: As a fitness professional, I would watch countless people come in and spend lots of money on training, a nutrition plan and spend hours on the elliptical and counting calories to find themselves depleted, frustrated, and still trying to squeeze in their spanks to hide the muffin top and shrink their thighs. I even watched it with myself. I did all the “right” things. I ate the right carbs, did the right amount of cardio, and didn’t eat after 7:00 p.m. As a trainer and skilled in transforming bodies, I was confused that doing all the “right” things was not changing the size and shape of my buns or my abs.
