As an astrologer, writer and radio host, Robert Phoenix has been doing tarot, astrological and psychic readings for 20 years. His methodology blends mundane astrology, mythology and Jungian psychology to provide spiritual guidance. OMTIMES. Congratulations on the success of your show, The Eleventh House, on Gaiam TV. Why did you chose the name Eleventh House?
Robert Phoenix: Thank you. I chose the name the 11th House, because the 10th House was taken already and nobody wants to hang in the 12th House. No, seriously, The 11th House is the house of groups, associations, societies and future communities. It represents technology as well through its association with the sign of Aquarius. I thought it was keeping with the spirit of Gaiam.
OMTIMES. How did you started this journey through Astrology and was there one event that made you awake to this archetypal Universe?
Robert Phoenix: I was a tarot reader for about six years in the late 90’s and astrology was always in the background since I was into studying and mastering as many systems as possible. I transitioned into the dot.com world in 2000, caught the end of the wave and rode to its conclusion for me, in 2007. I was in the digital music business then. When my last gig ended, I had a lot of time on my hands and started a blog that was green and eclectic. When Sarah Palin came on the scene I decided to do her chart and broke it down.
