She’s an Aquarius and Obama is reportedly a Leo. So that’s when I realized that the election wasn’t really about Obama and McCain, but Obama versus Plain due to the opposition of the two signs. The post took off, exploded. So it was another wave and I kept going.
The instances of astrology being efficacious became pretty apparent to me when I looked back on my own life with my chart. I could track cycles and waves of development, including my 70’s romance with drugs, including psychedelics. I had Neptune transiting through the first in Sag, so I could see why I was trying dissolve into the ethers with such abandon. The birth of my son coincided with Saturn transiting my 8th house in Cancer, life, birth, conception, maturity etc. The examples are almost too numerous to list. And then there’s always Mercury Retrograde, which never disappoints.

Robert Phoenix: Well, that happens on a lot of different levels. It is entertainment for one thing. People like it because it amuses them. Then there’s a slightly more serious application that wants to use astrology as a tool to divine and define the self.
