There’s another level that is much more occult aka hidden and that is where people in positions of power use astrology to plan and execute all manner of activities, from investing to waging wars. This has gone on since the days of Egypt.
OMTIMES. On a personal level, do you believe that Astrology is an instrument of self-discover? Should it be part of an individual’s spiritual practice?
Robert Phoenix: That’s a good question. Definitely the former. For the latter, any spiritual system ultimately bleeds into the one. Bruce Lee’s strategy was along those lines; using the form to approach the formless.
OMTIMES. You tackle very controversial issues on your show, The Eleventh House, such as important political events, and how they played out through history using astrology as your main guide. Among all of them, which one would you say personally had the most revealing astrological chart?
Robert Phoenix: I think it’s the chart of the Kennedy assassination. It turned our world inside out and I think shot us out onto another timeline, which we have still not wended our way back from. It was the beginning of a dark version of the Aquarian Age, which we are now staring down with ubiquitous surveillance, drones and engineered foods.
OMTIMES. Would you please discuss one dramatic situation in the world today that is the basic translation of a planetary aspectation or transit?
Robert Phoenix: It’s been the slam dance of the cardinal square between Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries. Uranus in Aries is erupting in the revolutions in places like Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine. It’s the hue and cry of the human spirit that is close to not being able to take oppression any longer and while some of those revolutions have more than a hint of very strategic planning at the fringes, meaning they are used as tools for destabilization, if the spirit wasn’t there, it wouldn’t be happening.
