Dr. Pillai: Timeline Jumping
Dr. Pillai: I was born in India, a poor country. Today, coincidently, I was reading in a newspaper that two thirds of the poor people of the world are in India. It really bothers me. I wanted to find out the cause for suffering.
The traditional understanding that it is karma needs to be understood from a different perspective. Karma is the thought process. This is the definition that the Buddha himself (an Atheist) liked and followed. It is how the brain functions.
My definition of poverty is: It’s a matter of Neurology. Why are people poor? It is because their brains don’t function properly. They are negative, basically. Caught up in the neocortex. If they can move to different areas of the brain, for instance, the midbrain connected to the frontal lobe.
This is basically my teaching. You can access it from my program called Midbrain Miracle Method. It’s available on YouTube where I talk about how you can change your poverty into prosperity just by changing your mindset.
It is a method I have brought into the light from a scientific point of view. I think no amount of work done by politicians or economists would work as good as changing one’s own consciousness as a fundamental platform for changing the poverty and suffering of people.
Sonja Benkovich: Is this brain changing technology what makes your teachings unique or are there other things that make your teachings unique?
Dr. Pillai: The brain is fundamentally where our life starts. When the brain is dead you are practically dead. You perceive the world through your brain. The analogy in Indian teachings is that a man is like a tree with the roots turned upwards, the roots on the top. The roots are an analogy for the brain and the neurons. How they function is very important. Maybe a study of serotonin, dopamine, neurotransmitters, etc. ultimately have to be changed.
