Mary Williams, Jane Fonda’s “Lost Daughter”, Finds Hope
Marlise: I loved how you wrote in the book that Jane told your mother, “We raised a wonderful woman,” and your mother said, “We did a good job.”
Mary Williams: You don’t go back looking to change other people, but to find that change in yourself so that you can go forward, because just leaving it behind doesn’t mean its behind, it’s still there with you. You really have to build the courage to make peace with that past or with that person.
Marlise: Beautiful. Because you can never know how someone will take it, can you? You can only know what you want healed within yourself. Thank you Mary for demonstrating so beautifully how your past can actually become an adventure that leads you to greater love.
