Erich von Däniken: Remnants of the Gods

Among all your explorations, which one fascinated you the most?

Erich von Däniken: There are many, many interesting ones. One thing in particular, which was discovered 50 years ago, is a tombstone at Palenque in Mexico, an old Mayam City; and in Palanque, there is a pyramid called the Temple of Inscription, and deep beneath this temple they found a tombstone. It is quite a block because it is 3.8 meters long and 2.2 meter large. There is a fantastic engraving on it. You can see a man bending forward almost like aligned on a racing motorcycle, with some sort of oxygen mask on his nose, and some hand-tools to manipulate some controls. The man sits in a sort of chair, and the heels of his left foot is on a kind of pedal. Behind him, you can see that he sits in a sort of capsule. Outside of the capsule you can see a sort of shooting flame.

Another point of interest, which is always mysterious and great and still unknown, are the chambers, or rooms, in the great Pyramid. According to modern archeology, there are only three rooms in the great Pyramid: The King’s Chamber, the Queen’s Chamber and under the great pyramid, there is the so-called “unfinished” Chamber. But the fact is that there are many other chambers inside the great pyramid that is not well known to the Public. I ask myself, why they don’t tell it to us?

There are reasons why: The great Pyramid was not all constructed by the Ancient Egyptians, there are other forces. Just imagine, if they find in the great pyramid an inscription that was not from Egypt. This would be a catastrophe, it would be a disaster to Egyptology and they cannot tell it to the public.
