Chris Waddell: One Revolution
We adapted much of our vehicle from vehicles that Mike Augspurger had built. Mike is the genius who created the concept of off-road hand cycles. Our design is a slight adaptation of his original concept. You will see on his website that he builds three-wheeled vehicles, but he also built a four-wheeled prototype that we used early on.

OMTimes: What was the development process of the film like?
Chris Waddell: I was lucky to have had a great team led by Director Amanda Stoddard. She created the story and did an amazing job. From my viewpoint the film process was a brand new and scary concept. Our success for the project hinged on the film and I had no concept of what we were doing. Putting the ideas together, raising the money, building the team, they were all huge challenges for me. Amanda, Patrick Reddish our DP, Mike Stoner Cinematographer and Ryan Gass Editor and Media Manager, did an amazing job. We ended up with the story that I hoped we would get–though I’m sure that I couldn’t articulate it at the beginning or most of the time along the way.
OMTimes: How was the filming itself?
Chris Waddell: We filmed a ton. It wasn’t easy, but it was an adventure for all of us. Pat and Mike loved to climb and find interesting shots. It was probably most challenging for Amanda who had to keep us all in line.
OMTimes: How was the film received? Do you feel like people understood the struggle that happened on the mountain?
