What My Bad-Boy Brother Taught Me about the Game of Life
My brother Billy and my mother were always at war. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out whose fault it was. When I heard about Karma, I decided they probably had some heavy duty past life stuff to work out.
After Billy died, and miraculously began speaking to me from the afterlife, he gave me his newly enlightened view of the situation.
You can’t really blame Mommy, or me, because we signed up to do this soap opera together before we were born. We weren’t acting out some type of I-did-something-wrong-to-you-in-another-life-and-I’m-paying-for-it-now kind of thing. It doesn’t really work like that. That concept of an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth karmic-equalizing-of-the-score isn’t the real deal.
Here is some of what my bad-boy brother Billy shared with me from the other side about the true nature of Karma.
Seven Things You Didn’t Know About Karma
Karma Insight 1. We’re not born on Earth because we’ve done something wrong in another life and need to be punished.
This concept of Karma is just an eastern version of sin and punishment. None of us were put on this planet to be punished. And we’re not here to settle some score.
Karma Insight 2. Before we’re born, we-who-are-going-to-be-humans select these dramas to play out on Earth.
Life is about dramas that change you. And although most of us are scared of change, changing is the double fudge frosting on top of the cake of life.
Karma Insight 3. Our Souls pick our life circumstances with the help of a council.
Who makes up this council? Wise, High, Super-Evolved Spirits, sort of cosmic screenwriters, who are finished with being born. So, why would we, as Soul, want to leave the Higher Worlds for a difficult life on Earth? Because the Soul loves experience and doesn’t fear suffering. The Soul knows it can never be injured. This doesn’t mean it isn’t natural for people to prefer pleasure over pain. That’s part of the plan.
Karma Insight 4. Although much of your life is planned out, there’s a lot of freedom inside that plan.
The circumstances we pick are like lines in a kid’s coloring book, but instead of ink the lines are penciled in; they’re erasable. As you color in the spaces, you influence the lines.
Karma Insight 5. We’re meant to engage in all kinds of things on earth, things that don’t make sense from a human point of view.
Why we choose to walk a particular path is sometimes beyond human understanding. Why would anyone sign up for a difficult struggle? Well, sometimes through our ordeals we learn rocket science instead of simple math. When I was alive, I was a drug addict who couldn’t overcome my addictions, but now here I am, bringing comfort and truth to anyone who cares to listen. So take a moment before you judge yourself too harshly.
Karma Insight 6. We stay free inside the game of Karma when we believe in the brilliance of the circumstances we find ourselves in.
When we see through the stage and the players, when we find the freedom IN OURSELVES to decide FOR OURSELVES who and what we want to be, how we CHOOSE TO PLAY IT, we can dance the dance of the game of life with a little more rhythm, a little more abandon, a little more shaking-those-hips. Remember, it’s a big rock opera happening on Earth. Dance to your own drumbeat and don’t take it all too seriously.
Karma Insight 7. Life on Earth is a kind of experiment chosen for Soul-type reasons, reasons that humans have an almost impossible time understanding.
And not understanding is an important part of the experiment. If we knew the workings of the experiment, it would lose some of its punch and that losing of punch, well, that’s a little bit of what enlightenment is all about.

When I read that some afterlife soul talked to her, I just knew she has lost it!
What’s so farfetched about spirits? Hopefully a tsunami takes out your loved ones
Hopefully a tsunami takes out your loved ones? There’s really no reason to be so mean just because someone doesn’t believe the same thing you do.
The thought of afterlife can be scarey to people if they have never had any spiritual insight in their lives.. Those of us raised in religious or spiritual homes, even if just on the edge of one, have been given a gift. We should refrain from being so judgmental of people like PaulAPP because he doesn’t know what we know and is learning like the rest of us had to. The physically dead do speak Paul. We are not made up of flesh alone. Call it Soul Spirit Knowing, whatever, but there is a part of the human existence that automatically feels the untouchable. I hope you will open your mind and heart to that possibility if even a small bit so you won’t have been on this rock for nothing.
You seem to be off your meds again…your delusions of sky daddies and magical thinking are back.
Not one of us is “on this rock for nothing.” In your own words “We should refrain from being so judgmental.”
Yet, you came here.
Yet ur still delusional…
🙁
yet, once again you came here for some reason as well haha?
Yet ur magical thinking never helped anyone. Zero evidence for your superstition.
The title lied.. I already knew all of this! ^^
Favorite thing I’ve read on here so far! Westerners have misinterpreted the teachings and think that every relationship has to do with punishment for a past life.
I read this book on the bus coming home, I cried in the first chapter. I must say though, that this book gave me hope and peace. When you know that no matter what you have done, there is love waiting for you. Well, that did it for me. I wish you all a Blessed Peace.
Paul was pretty mean also. That’s karma!
Madame, my respect to you for taking the time to write this down.
It is nice to know that more and more are becoming aware of this.
And honestly, I am curious on how you got info on the Council.
Anyway, take good care, be well and be safe.
Once again, thank you for sharing.
Whoa. Back to your basket!
