The Six C’s of Success in Business

As a solo business owner and someone who tries to pay attention to the things that make a successful entrepreneur, I’ve identified a number of attributes that I think are conducive to success in any endeavor.

Want to Become an Entrepreneur? Try Developing These Six Attributes.  You can call them the Six “C’s” of Success in Business:

The Six C’s of Success

1: Conviction: You have to believe in your product, in your message and in yourself. There’s no way you’re going to be a success if you don’t. Period.

2: Commitment: You need to put everything you have into building your business and your brand. Without a 100% commitment, you’ll never reach your ultimate goals.

3: Creativity: You always need to have an open mind and an “out of the box” way of thinking in order to be receptive to inspiration and to move beyond your competitors. You also need to have creative problem-solving skills, because without them, you’re doomed.

4: Communication: You need to effectively communicate to others who you are, what you do and why they need to work with you, buy your product(s) or use your services. If you can’t consistently engage the imaginations and pique the desires of your audience/consumers, you aren’t going anywhere.

5: Connections: It’s essential that you work with mentors and that you learn from them; from their successes and their mistakes/failures. It’s also important that you give back and be a mentor and a supportive colleague yourself. Even as a solo entrepreneur, you work in a community of other entrepreneurs and your reputation can make or break you.

6: Consistency. Hard work is essential, and not just in the short term, start-up phase but throughout your journey as an entrepreneur. You need to stay focused, put in the effort and never lag. You don’t know who else is out there, ready and willing to run with an idea you had but didn’t implement.
