Trust In the Natural Order of Things
By Mhairi Scott
In this modern world, it can be quite challenging to retain perspective and a feeling for the right timing of things that will occur naturally in life. You come here with a plan and upon arrival promptly forget said plan. The result is a feeling of rushing against time and space, fighting against self and divine timing in all things. You second-guess, allow your mind to be prepared for the journey ahead, but in this preparedness forget to simply be directed in every moment by your heart.
The quest to slow down and let it be is something that you can resonate with. You must question what can be gained by us rushing things to be ready before their time. All that is formed within this energy can be artificial, not fit for purpose and empty of all true meaning and depth, taking us down a path that was never meant to be tread by us, just yet.
Looking at all that that you plan for from a different and dispassionate perspective can allow you to see the truth of what is motivating, driving, and feeding all that you are working towards in any given moment. Make lists and/or talk to another about what you are trying to achieve. Vocalizing and talking through with someone else that is not so caught up in the vision can be liberating and educational and ultimately help you to see all in a different light.
A fresh perspective can free you from a path that has become too dogged and blind to the truth of where you need to be, who you need to embody, and what you are required to do. Lifting and reframing your vision from time to time helps you to keep moving within the flow of universal guidance and wisdom rather than that of ego-fogged glasses of desire.
When you feel yourself fighting against the timing and natural order of things, you can use three simple methods of calming and getting into the rhythm and natural order of things.
3 Keys to Getting into the Natural Order of Things
1. First step out of all that you are currently pushing towards. Look at it from a different perspective. Look all around at what it is that you are trying so hard to achieve, and see and feel it in its entirety.
– What does it look like to you?
– Can you see all of the twists and turns therein? Are you meant to?
– What blind spots remain that may frustrate you?
– Do you accept that perhaps the form that you envision does not necessarily represent what needs to be for you in this moment?
– Can you trust that you are precisely where you need to be right now?
– Is the form of your project too rigid within your mind, thus not allowing for the gentle but intuitive guidance of your eternal spirit within and guides without?
2. Allow for periods of quiet and stillness to connect with your inner guidance and listen for the divine speaking to you. When you find that space you will calm your cheeky and quarrelsome monkey-mind and begin to feel the essence of true sensation, thoughts and actions that slow down to a pace that is outside the speed of the physical world. Held in such moments you can safely place your hand on your heart in order to feel and know the right path for you. Taking yourself out of earthly time, you allow yourself the space with which to think with a clarity and simplicity that is otherworldly.
Do this through periods of simple meditation or listening to music. Find an activity that allows you to drift within and without and asks very little of your mind. Dancing to rhythmic music sometimes helps to shake out the worries of the day and connect to the threads of the universe. Forgetting your physical presence in such ways is like a mini-holiday for your mind. Connect to the rhythms that free you and use this to find your quiet times.
3. A wonderful way to find inspiration is to walk out into nature. Here you will connect with an energy that flows intuitively and effectively with all of the twists and turns of a dynamic reality. It follows no path and all paths at the same time. Nature does have organization and structure but within that essence it remains fluid and adaptive, feeling its way forward in changing times and environments.
Think of a river finding new routes around, over and through barriers put in its way or a tree growing around a fence that has been built in its path. The diversity and adaptability of the natural world is a glimpse of the divine in perfect action. You can easily visualize all such natural phenomena and this can in turn help you see that there is always a way that reacts instinctively to what is faced moment to moment.
You do not have to see all of the twists and turns that life may take, just know that you can move around and through all that you may be asked to face. Such changes in pace and direction will be allowed in a fluid and welcoming way that does not deviate from ultimate and true purpose. The tree will grow to its full height and incorporate the fence and the river will change route many times before reaching the sea, but all will be as it should in the end if you just let the natural course of things take place.
Listen to the Signs of the Natural Order of Things
You will know when you are fighting against the true and proper timing of things. All will simply not fit or feel right and barriers to your progress will frustrate you. When this happens try the exercises above and connect once again to the guidance within.
A good thing to remember is that time and space are constructs given to us to use as tools in our physical incarnations. You are limited by these tools so that you use your time wisely and constructively, but this is only a tiny part of your story. You are an eternal and unlimited being playing at being physical for a while. You need not rush about, afraid of missing your moment as there are unlimited times allowed for us to grow wiser. Just have fun being the powerful creator that you are whilst in this form, but know that you have infinity with which to truly play.
This is only one part of your story so relax, breathe, and just be you in all of your glory. No pressure. Just trust and believe in your own internal satellite navigation system, and don’t be driven or guided down a dead end that was never meant to be for you.
You have got this, trust you!
