Creativity Tool #1 – Visualization and Guided Imagery

Picturing yourself as the person who is creative, successful and a fountain full of ideas, is the key to revealing your own mastery. It is a fact that creative people see themselves as creative giving themselves creative freedom. Those who feel they are not creative people, do not allow themselves to be creative and do not give themselves the opportunity to create anything new. Energy follows thought. When you program your thoughts to reflect your wishes, you tend to put your energy into making it so. The mind can be the most helpful tool in the way we desire to live our lives and create what we want to create. If you can believe it, you can achieve it.

 

Creativity Tool #2 – Music

Music is the great motivator. Music empowers our spirit and can give us the create spark to grow, realize who we are and even give our ideas wings. Music as a creative building block is as individual as we are. Find the music that gives you passion. The passion to grow. Let music inspire you, lift you up and find your voice. Music works on the Entrainment Theory. The beat of the music aligns with our heart and body rhythm. Slower music gives us time for reflection, inspiration and introspection. Meditation is a time-honored technique that can take you into infinite dimensions of consciousness. It is a simple effort that becomes effortless as we do it more and more. One major principle to meditation is the ability to completely quiet your mind. Use meditation as a tool for finding, exploring and making your creativity known.



 

Creativity Tool #4 – Crystals

Crystals have the ability to guide, educate and bring us energy. These tools of the earth, often made up of the same trace minerals that are in our own organic bodies, can resonate with our physical and etheric energy bodies on many levels. Scents can be used to stimulate creativity, encourage productivity and invite conversation. Essential oils can restore balance and harmony to your body and to your life. Aromatherapy can be experienced through several mediums. Essential oils are the purest form from flowers, barks and herbs, used in incense, candles and aromatherapy products. Essential oils associated with stimulating creativity include clary sage, neroli, rose and rosewood.

Creativity Tool #8 – Tuning in

Tuning in to any energy is the ability to quiet the mind, allowing your inner self, or intuition, to perceive truth. By practicing this art, we develop a sensitivity toward inner information and the ability to condition our mind to listen on a much more subtle level. This “tuning in” can give us the ability to sense energy and actually perceive on an even more subconscious plane. Techniques are vast and varied, all of which, can be used in calming and clearing the mind, therefore, achieving clearer perception.

 

Creativity Tool #9 – Color Therapy

Color Therapy is a set of principles used to create harmonious color and color combinations for healing. This form of energy medicine is based on the belief that the human body is composed of energy fields. When the energy is properly distributed and circulating freely, the body is healthy. Orange is the color used when there is an issue with blocked experiences in life, including a decrease in personal creativity. Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway) is the ancient Chinese art of placement to enhance the flow of “vital life energy” known as Qi. Practitioners believe that rooms, buildings and all environments can be arranged and decorated in a way that maximizes the flow of Qi and, resulting in improvements to health and happiness of those who live in that environment. When an area, office, home or room is divided into “areas” the West is the area most associated with children and creative impulses.
