For better health, there are lots of simple things we can do without taking herbs or medications that will help us feel and look great. Here are some simple, effective, and powerful ways to change life and feel better.

Better Health Tip #1 – Change our Mindset.

Our mindset is everything, to look at life from a positive perspective can change everything from the inside out. When we feel down and out we also start to have aches, pains, and we begin the downward cycle toward disease. Choosing to be different by choosing a more positive outlook changes our body through the mind/body connection. This can have a profound effect on the immune system and thus helps us to maintain our optimism.

 

Better Health Tip #2 – Smile.

Smiling is something that many of us don’t do in this day and age, but it does make physiological changes in our bodies. Just turning up the sides of our mouths and walking around seems to alter the cycle of hormones in our bodies and gets serotonin moving through our brain. Thus, we feel good and look better because we have a smile on our face.

 

Better Health Tip #3 – Walk.

Walking is simple and can be a great way to manage or lose weight. Just walking fast enough to break into a sweat, but not jogging can increase metabolism, improve mood, and make us feel better. It improves our cardiovascular system, moves lymph around our body cleansing away toxins, and invigorates our endocrine system. Walking at least 20 minutes a day is great for the body and walking five miles a day is fantastic.

 

Better Health Tip #4 – Drink More Water.

Many people are drinking too many caffeinated drinks and sodas, and these two things actually dehydrate the body. This results in our feeling weak, having headaches, and general malaise. Drinking one liter of water a day will help the body to flush out toxins thus keeping away aches and pains. It also improves metabolism because without water our system does not work correctly. Drinking a lot of water also helps us replenish our skin for a beautiful complexion.



 

Better Health Tip #5 – Hug Someone.

Science has shown that when we get a hug we feel better and that changes our body. When we give a hug or receive a hug we release oxytocin into our body, which keeps depression away. And at the same time we have feelings of self-worth, which brings about changes in our brain chemistry to improve our mood.

 

Better Health Tip #6 – Take a Nice Warm Bath.

We live in a crazy mixed up world where people are running here and there and stress is always building. Just taking the time to unwind and sit in a nice hot bath is a luxury that most people don’t allow themselves to have. But it can and does make changes in our body by derailing stress and turning off cortisol and adrenalin compounds. Thus, we feel better and look better because we don’t have those stress lines in our forehead, and even our voice is more relaxed.

 

Better Health Tip #7 – Wash our Hands Often.

Our hands touch everything and there are bacteria and viruses lurking all over the place. Instead of sanitizing the world, it’s much easier to just wash our hands more often. Then we don’t come down with colds and flus as often. This cuts down on sick days and, in general, makes us healthier because don’t have fungi, chemicals, and other agents coming in contact with our skin; which, in turn, can make us sick.

 

Better Health Tip #8 – Disconnect.

When we have so many gadgets and social media wanting our attention, we are constantly bombarded with stressful events. Shutting off our phone, computer, or any other way we connect can change everything. Studies show our stress goes down, we feel better, and thus we are less apt to snap at people and feel grumpy. This limits the stress chemicals coursing through our body that make us gain weight, unable to focus and make us feel irritable.

Using these eight simple tips for better health will power up our health and vitality can make all the difference in the world. We don’t have to pump iron at the gym, or run a marathon, just making some simple changes can work wonders. Sometimes we just have to keep it simple, because simple is always the best way.
