Shelly Wilson: Healer of Hearts
OMTIMES: I would like to start by asking you, in your opinion, what is a spiritual awakening?
Shelly Wilson: To me a spiritual awakening is that proverbial “ah-ha” lightbulb moment when everything and everyone around you begins to make sense in a new way. Most of us don’t realize that we are asleep, until we do wake up! It is consciously choosing to operate on all 6 senses rather than just your 5 senses. My own spiritual awakening happened 7 years ago, although upon reflection I can easily identify several opportunities when I apparently wasn’t ready. I remember, even as far back as when I was a child, wondering exactly what my purpose is in this life. I asked the questions we all ask – Who am I? Why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing? Is this all there is? What’s next? A very clear answer to my questions was revealed to me on May 1, 2008 through an angel reading. After spending some time searching the Internet for someone to tell me about my angels and connect me with my loved ones who have passed, I found someone to do just that – Steffany Barton of Angels Insight. The reading began as follows: I just have to tell you – you are a healer. Your soul is here to help change the world. You are a healer. You have come here to shine your Light, so that you can remind other people of the truth of who they are…you are here to shine your Light, so that others can remember the truth of who they are. You – allowing yourself to be a channel for Spirit, allowing yourself to smile and to listen and to be available to people when they are in need and to see them differently than they see themselves. That’s how you change the world and that’s how you heal hearts, one by one by one by one…
