Shelly Wilson: Healer of Hearts

Shelly_Wilson_Cover_omtimesOMTIMES: In your own words, how would you define a true Light worker? It seems this concept is a little over used and misused. What is your take and what do you believe should change?

Shelly Wilson: Great question Liane as there are many definitions and perceptions of a Light worker! To me, a Light worker is holding space for others to be who they are while shining their own Light bright. At times, we may feel that it’s easier to dim our Light and blend in to our surroundings.

Our Light is our power center and the more that we work on ourselves, the more we will each assist the evolution of consciousness since we are a part of the One. With that being said, I do recognize that everyone is having their own human life experience and embarking (or continuing) on their own journey into consciousness. I believe that the more we allow each person to have their own experience without taking what others say or do personally (Yes, I do love don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements!), the happier we will be.

OMTIMES: Do you have anyone inside the spiritual community who has inspired to become the professional you are today? If so, who and why?

Shelly Wilson: As noted in my book, Journey into Consciousness, I acknowledged five spiritual teachers who impacted me personally: Dannion Brinkley, Sonia Choquette, John Holland, James Van Praagh, and Lisa Williams. By sharing their personal life experiences through their books, presentations and workshops, they provide tremendous wisdom and insight to each one of us. Since that time, I have studied with Tony Stockwell, so I definitely have to add him to the list of those that have influenced me. I could go on and on with names of colleagues who have greatly inspired me as well.

OMTIMES: Now, I need to ask you the cheesiest question: Is there an Afterlife? If so, what does it look like?

Shelly Wilson: It’s truly a great question. I absolutely believe that there is an Afterlife, also referred to as the Other Side and Heaven. I recognize that some individuals and religions believe that once our physical body dies, that is it. We learned in school at a young age that energy cannot be created or destroyed; energy can only be changed. With that being said, I believe that once we cease to breathe the breath of life, our soul leaves our body and transitions to a higher frequency that is actually all around us. Extend your arm upwards and at an angle, that is the Other Side.
