Angela Levesque: Calm Mind, Open Heart
OMTIMES: Has your work involved healing the souls of departed people, or do you just work with the living?
ANGELA LEVESQUE: My work is with the living, but sometimes we call on higher level help. The goal of my work is to get people into the present moment as much as possible. Sometimes that requires the help of the occasional dead person, but more often it is working with their spirit guides. I used to think that people didn’t have to go back before they could move forward. I don’t think that anymore. That doesn’t mean that we have to stay in the past rehashing old hurts over and over, but there is something to be said for understanding the core beliefs underneath our decisions and behaviors. Sometimes that process requires assistance from our spiritual team. It is not unusual, during an energy clearing/balancing that a departed loved one will show up with a message for the client. But in readings, it is usually a guide who will choose to step forward on the client’s behalf. Then we use that information to build awareness to help bring the client in the present moment. Once the subconscious beliefs and patterns have shown themselves, we can then work to release them.
OMTIMES: Alternative Healing is a really special practice. Do you use any different tools, such as crystal wands, crystal grids, colors or healing sounds?
ANGELA LEVESQUE: In my personal healing, I use crystals, prayers, and healing grids but with clients my focus is usually on mind/body and energy work. I find that many of the clients that are drawn to me are in the beginning of their conscious healing journey. I found a good space where I can work with them and present material in such a way that introduces new topics, but in a language they connect with. I teach many classes in mindfulness and meditation to people living with cancer, and through community education and it is important to meet people where they are. This means speaking to them about things they can understand and giving them tools that help to stretch them just a little beyond their comfort zone. So I find if I start talking too much about crystals or grids then the rest of my message gets lost. I think of myself as a bridge between to the known and unknown. Most clients find me to be very grounded and they appreciate that I can talk about energetics and spirituality in a way that resonates and yet challenges them to go deeper.
