Veronica Lee: A Mystic with a Mission

VERONICA LEE: I think the most valuable gift one can gain from a spiritual advisor would be the gift of being seen. So, if you want to know why you are in a bad relationship, you can have two very different experiences; one where the reader tells you how the lover is going to change or how you will find a new and better lover, or you can get a reader who can look deeper and see the real you. This kind of spiritual advisor will point out the patterning in you that attracted you to the relationship, your hooks in keeping it going, your contribution to it, and your true self that wishes to emerge from all the discord. If you really want to gain clarity, you must be willing to see, right? And as long as someone is looking for quick fixes or answers, they aren’t going gain much from a reading, no matter how good the intuitive is!

As for the coach and Guru, I’d say the main difference is the coach or mentor implies someone who is willing to work “on the ground” with you, while the Guru is often seeking followers and there’s a sense of separation from them and you. At least that’s my association with the terms.

OMTIMES: What would be your personal advice to someone that has just recently awaken to a new spiritual, more conscious and mindful reality? What are the baby steps to make the best of this awakening?

VERONICA LEE: I think the first, most important thing to do is to be gentle with yourself. We live in such a high-stress, go-go-go society and we often take on new things with this sense of competition, getting it right and getting it done. None of this applies to spirituality. There is no right, there is no done, and there certainly is no need to compete. It’s not a race, it’s an unfoldment – a personal journey of discovery and it can be really joyful if we allow it to be, and not take any of what we do so seriously. If we recognize our alignment with integrity, we don’t need to worry about being so serious. If anything, we need to focus on making our lives more fun.
