I love that my shows will be translated into different languages with captions, which is very exciting: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese! This is particularly gratifying to me because my readers of my website are 49% in the US, and 51% outside of the US. This way, my readers can hear about the year ahead by reading the subtitles of their own native language.
OMTIMES: The set of the show is gorgeous, where did you and Healthwise.FM shoot?
Susan Miller: We filmed the AstrologyZone 2016. Your Year Ahead at Deepak Home based, housed upstairs in the ABC Carpet & Home, which all New Yorkers know is a dream of a retail store! ABC harks back to the days of the exotic bazaar, with one-of-a-kind items that were imported from all over the world. Our set is pale pink and soft in color, with valuable old rugs and antiques in the background—there even and antique was a Cupid Cherub statue in white branches. Deepak Homebase is light and open—it’s all you would hope a Deepak Homebase would be. You feel completely at home the moment you step into space! There is something about that space that is completely enticing.
OMTIMES: How do you balance the knowledge you glean from the stars and make it manageable for us?
Susan Miller: My mother was a real scholar of astrology and learned from an eight-year correspondence class that she took of very famous European astrologers before I was born. No astrologer believes in astrology until they study it, and my mother was no exception. She entered the study at the urging of her sister (my aunt) who needed my mom, who was talented with math, to do the charts so that she could do the homework of the class.
