Braxton Cosby: Fat Free For Life
OMTIMES Magazine has the pleasure to interview Braxton Cosby about his new book, “Fat Free For Life: 13 Principles of Guaranteed Weight Loss and Ultimate Health”.
OMTIMES: You’re a very accomplished award-winning author of over nine novels. One of which is set to begin pre-production for filming the first quarter of 2016. How did the idea for, ‘Star-Crossed Saga Trilogy’ come together?
Braxton Cosby: It was God-breathed. Literally! I was in church one Sunday and I heard a voice speak to me. Well, let me back up for a second. My Bishop was delivering a message about the purpose and God calling His people to do something great. He challenged the congregation to ask God What He wanted them to do. So I did. I heard the voice ask me to write a book, a romance novel that delivered a message about accountability and the power of choice. So I did all the research about writing a book that I could and 3 months later, I had a full 90, 000 plus word manuscript in front of me. Protostar was born and we are so excited for all the great talent we’ve already amassed and the new ones we plan to bring on board.
OMTIMES: How was it to win the Readers Favorite Book of the Year Award for your novel: Protostar?
Braxton Cosby: It was a great honor. I mean, when I started this journey into writing, never did I even imagine anyone liking it, much less winning anything for my story. But I can only give the glory to God for even giving me the idea. Supernova is the sequel and is garnering similar praise.
OMTIMES: You’re a very busy man: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (still practicing), a personal trainer, a certified sports nutritionist, an entrepreneur, and an actor/model. Besides keeping it all together, what is your current work in progress?
Braxton Cosby: I am currently working on building out the final book of the Star-Crossed franchise, Solstice (Book 3). With film development on multiple projects underway, I hope to release it in mid-2016. I just completed a comedy film script that is going to be hilarious. With media Production Company, Cosby Media Productions, publishing books, managing web-series and developing original intellectual properties takes up a lot of my time. But I have a fabulous woman by my side, Shontel, who continually encourages me and drives me to be even better than what I believe I can be. She keeps me organized, grounded and invigorated.
