Emmanuel Dagher: Easy Breezy Prosperity

OMTimes: How did you get interested in self-help, motivation, and healing others?

Emmanuel Dagher_EasyBreezyProsperity_omtimesEmmanuel Dagher: Many of those reading this article can probably remember a time in their lives (perhaps as children or young adults) when they felt like an outsider as if they could never quite fit in. They can probably recall being quite sensitive, and desiring to help other people feel better about life. These are qualities that often describe an empath.

Empaths are highly sensitive, especially when it comes to their emotions. They feel deep, sometimes to the point of overwhelm.

Empaths are often natural diplomats, desiring to view all sides of a situation rather than going into quick judgment. It is their nature to be a giver, to be creative, supportive, spiritual, compassionate, and to always root for the underdog. Like many other people, being an empath put me on a path of self-discovery at an early age. It didn’t happen easily, though. As beautiful as it is to be an empath, I had a tendency to consciously and unconsciously take on the energies of others, especially those who needed someone to vent to, or to unload their burdens on.

I noticed that I would always attract these kinds of people. I now understand that I gravitated towards these people because I desired to help them feel better.

However, I started seeing a pattern: when I was around someone who enjoyed venting or complaining, that they would often end up feeling much better right after that, whereas I would carry those energies with me physically and emotionally for long periods of time. Looking back, I realize that I didn’t even know what was happening energetically, and, of course, I didn’t yet know how not to take on the energy of others.

This is where the interest in healing and personal development began. Through many years of personal healing, learning, and self-discovery, I have been empowered to enhance and use the beautiful and powerful aspects of being an empath without compromising my personal well-being. This has given me the opportunity to help other empaths learn how to do the same.

OMTimes: You grew up during the civil war in Lebanon. How did living in a war-torn country, and the experiences you had then, impact your life?

Emmanuel Dagher: Looking back, growing up in Lebanon during the civil war, which lasted from 1975 to 1990, was truly one of the greatest gifts of my life.
