David Arquette: SOLD
Christopher Buck: You are certainly, a wonderful example for others to emulate as far as conscious–you know, conscious cinema and spreading the messages of hope and, you know, how to make a change.
David Arquette: Thank you for saying that. But, you know, just like everyone, I’m human. I’m flawed. I, you know, have my bad moments. And just like everyone, I’m trying to work on myself, trying to find happiness, trying to sort of heal myself from my sort of family’s past abuse and stuff like that.
Christopher Buck: Well, we are always on the path of healing ourselves. What I like about all the projects that you do is that at the same time that you bring awareness, into the process itself and also the solution. Just like in Sold, you have the other part of it. There are people out there that have been working with the rescued victims, some fantastic rescue people. Projects with solutions on it. So, it’s not only bringing awareness and leaving it there but pointing a definitive action.
David Arquette: Thank you. We also have a documentary coming out called How to–a Survivor’s Guide to Prison, which is about prison reform directed by Matthew Cooke, a really amazing filmmaker. So, that’s another sort of example of something that we’re doing. It’s executive produced by Susan Sarandon, and it’s going to be a really important film about the failure of our prison system.
Christopher Buck: It’s one of the things that you just said when you were talking about is, you were talking about, you know, personal healing through helping others find healing. That’s one of our–the tenets we believe in at Humanity Healing and OMTimes Media is, you know, the law of one. When one is healed all are healed. And I think it’s interesting that you acknowledge that, through helping others, you’re also healing yourself.
David Arquette: Absolutely. I totally agree with that. And I love Rumi, and his wisdom is just vast.
Christopher Buck: So David, is there anything you would like to add or any, you know, final words of wisdom, so to speak, to share with our audience?
David Arquette: I’m just really thankful that you guys are covering it, and I’m so glad it’s going to be on a few issues. And just thanks for the work that you guys do.
