Where NOT To Place Natural Crystals
Where are the Best Spots to Place Natural Crystals?
You can hardly ever go wrong when it comes to using natural crystals for health, healing and guidance. Where to place them is mostly a non-issue, even if you just enjoy them as works of art.
Crystals have their own high vibration and can work as an earth element adjustment, one of the Five Elements used routinely in classical Feng Shui. And yet, if we want to adhere to a traditional Feng Shui formula, we would not want to place a natural crystal in the area of a home or business where the “5 mountain dragon” resides.
What is a 5 mountain star? Or a 5 mountain dragon? These terms are metaphorical coding for an area of a house or building where the energy may not be as inherently good as other parts of the structure. We are only referring to one layer of the space, but it can be a very important area, where a natural crystal could magnify or intensify that same energy which we would rather subdue.
The 5 mountain dragon could otherwise contribute to arguments, accidents, pain or other mishaps. This may come as a surprise to people who have heard that you can use natural crystals to protect an area which may be vulnerable to negativity, such as the use of black tourmaline, obsidian or onyx. We also have to be mindful of size and proportion. Small pieces of tourmaline should not be a problem in any room, rather a benefit.
How is the 5 mountain dragon’s location determined? The directional location of the 5 mountain dragon is determined by calculations which factor in the age of the structure and its precise compass alignment. An enduring energy field is created in every structure when first built and this is an Old-World way of understanding one aspect of Space-Time theory. Here is a concrete example: A house built in 1950 which faces magnetic West at 250 degrees will have a “5 mountain dragon” residing in the west sector of the house. Another example: a house built in 2008 which faces magnetic south at 180 degrees will have a 5 mountain dragon in the northwest sector of the house.
Every house is unique, so the 5 mountain dragon is not going to be located in the same area or direction of every house, contrary to what some New Age versions of Feng Shui would imply. There is a notion that every house can be treated similarly based on a New Age Ba’gua template, but this is just too generic to be meaningful, nor can it identify the location of the 5 mountain dragon which is very much reliant on when the structure was built.
The 5 mountain dragon (a/k/a 5 mountain star) should ideally be kept quiet in the current times we live in, also called Period 8. This can include not having doors and windows constantly opening in this area. And, it can also mean that you don’t want to match or intensify this mountain (earth) energy with MORE earth energy via a natural crystal. You would also NOT want to use a red colored stone (like Jasper or garnet) in this area because red is related to the fire element. Fire strengthens earth in the cycle of the Five Elements. In this instance, you don’t want to strengthen the 5 earth mountain dragon with fiery colors.
Some natural crystals are a combination of earth and metal or more the metal element, like the stone known as pyrite. This is a stone/crystal which could be perfect for a 5 mountain star because the metal element drains the earth star. This means that you can drain off the energy related to arguments, pain, or accidents.
Feng Shui, like natural crystals in therapy, is very much solution-based. Metal can deactivate the 5 earth star, and this can include crystals which are combined with metals like copper, silver or gold. If you discover that you have a natural crystal in a 5 mountain dragon area of your home or business (particularly a large one), and you don’t want to move it, then by all means supplement the area with some heavy metal item(s). This can help transmute the earth energy into the metal phase. This is a way of nullifying the 5 mountain dragon.
