New Video from the GuruGanesha Band’s Upcoming Album “People of Love”
Rock-tinged sacred music group GuruGanesha Band share their newest video from their upcoming album People of Love today. Drawing inspiration from Rumi, the new single, “The Soul Within” is an exploration of the ephemeral nature of the physical, while revealing the joy in the universality of the soul.
“I am not my hair / I am not my skin / I am the soul that lives within” sings GuruGanesha, who found deep meaning in Rumi’s words after he injured his knee. “The song brought me so much relief, as it has with so many people in pain.”
The single is in advance of GuruGanesha Band’s upcoming full-length album, People of Love which will be released in September and followed by a multiple city tour up the East Coast, into Canada, and back through the Midwest this Fall.
The GuruGanesha Band effortlessly spans a multitude of musical styles, from deeply meditative musical compositions that unfold like lotus petals to the spellbinding fusion of Indian raga and Western jazz to full-on bhakti infused rock. The band expresses a universal musical language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and generations.
