Spirit Never Ceases to Amaze

spirit OMTimes

As many of you know, I’ve been doing this work for over two decades, and I can truly say that Spirit never ceases to amaze me!

Isn’t Spirit Amazing?

OMTimes Digital eZineI was recently featured on ‘The Doctors’ TV Show. They originally booked me to talk about my new book, which I am so proud of: Bridging Two Realms – Learn To Communicate With Your Loved Ones On The Other-Side, but I also volunteered to help someone who’d suffered a loss by doing a reading to help with the process of her bereavement. As always, I’d briefed the studio to make sure they didn’t tell me who I would be reading for or who they’d lost.

They chose a lovely woman who had sadly lost her son in the Las Vegas shooting, which at the time had been all over the news. The day before I flew to Los Angeles, something happened that I knew was a sign of Spirit. When it does, I usually take notice, as it’s often very special.

Every once in a while, I get inspiration from someone on the Other-Side to buy a specific gift. Sometimes it can be a crystal, a stuffed doll, a flower, a glass star, or even a tiny pewter turtle. I hear the thought in my head and often find myself just buying an object to take to the reading. So, there I was in this card store buying a get-well card when suddenly I had an image of feathered wings and a heart. I could feel that someone in Spirit was trying to get my attention! Obviously, it was going to be one of those special occasions again when someone was going to get a gift from a loved one who has passed. Nowadays, I don’t dwell on it – nor do I know who’s instructing me. I looked around the store and found a beautiful ornament that was a pair of wings with a blue heart with the words ‘HOPE’ written on it. I just brought it home and put it in my suitcase without further thought. I really wasn’t sure if it were meant for the person I would be reading in Los Angeles or for another time. I just wait for instructions!

Anyway, back to the TV show! While I was waiting for whomever I was supposed to read for, I spent a few minutes opening myself to the Spirit World. There was a little delay before we began the filming, so I ended up writing a few notes on what I was receiving. I had the same image of a heart with two wings sprouting out on each side of the heart that I’d got in the card store. I just drew this little image of what I saw in my mind.

The sitter then walked in, and the reading began. Her son quickly made himself known to me with a vast amount of validation and evidence. The link was strong. Towards the end of the reading, I heard clear as day in my mind: “Show her the heart.”

I asked her if feathered wings with a heart meant anything to her. She replied: “Yes!” So, I asked again: “In a big way?” … “Yes!” she said once again!

I turned over the pad of paper and showed her the drawing I’d done before she’d walked in with the heart and wings. She took a breath and told me it was the exact design she was going to use to print T-shirts to honor of those who’d passed in Las Vegas. She took out her phone, showed me the image she’d designed, so I reached into my bag and gave her the wings and heart ornament. We were both emotional because it had been such a special reading, and her son made sure she knew that he was still with her and involved in her life.

I’m honored to help people with loss, and its readings like these that validate my work and make it all the more worthwhile. I have to be honest, even after all these years, people on the Other-Side never cease to amaze me! It’s so obvious that they do what they can to help us here. As she left, I gave her a copy of my new book and signed it for her. I told her how the book helps people who are bereaved to have their own connections with their loved ones, and how they can develop their own spiritual abilities.

They showed the reading on the TV show, including the drawing I’d done for her before she even came into the room. I can take a little of the credit, because I know I’m a good vessel – but in reality … it’s those on the Other-Side that do most of the work!

p.s. If you didn’t see the show and would like to watch the reading, here’s the link, which is in two parts as you scroll down.

John’s Lesson

It’s simple this week. Keep sending your thoughts and love to your loved ones who’ve passed. Love is the bridge that keeps you connected. Just know that they do hear and see us and do what they can to help us.

Also, don’t forget to tell the people in your life know how much you love them, and what they mean to you. So you never have to say: could’ve, would’ve or should’ve. It’s never too late to say: “I love you” … “I forgive you” … “Please forgive me.” Even if they’ve passed – we are and always will be connected.

Live a Soul-filled life!
