How to Live a More Joyful Life

There is a direct relationship between our thoughts and how we feel.  If you want to live a more joyful life, avoid a negative mindset.

Learning How to Live a More Joyful Life – Bring More Joy in Life Even During Challenging Times

Many of us are looking to live a life of joy? We feel as if we are our own worst enemy, and we live in a world where things don’t always go as planned. I have learned from my personal experience how to worry less, pray more, and take action to make sound decisions in life!

 

In fact, do we believe there is a direct relationship between our thoughts and how we feel?

Asking ourselves this question will help. By observing our thoughts, are they mainly negative or positive? Are they filled with worry or hope? What is the answer? If the answer is that our thoughts are negative, then how we feel in the moment will have a direct impact on our emotional wellbeing.

 

Practice these three steps to help change our negative mindset:

  • How do we feel in our gut?
  • Change our focus
  • Monitor our thoughts
  • Use our psychic and physical senses to change direction or chart a new course in life.

We were meant to live a joyful life here on earth. So, once we become accustomed to changing our focus and making decisions that bring us more joy, we will see our outlook on life will change in positive ways.

Personally, as I started noticing how I was feeling and made changes, I became a happier person.  By doing this, I began to manifest things more easily and quickly in my life.

Pray to seek direction, meditate to find the answer, take action, or find a new path when necessary.

 

Create a Sacred Space

Some wonderful tools can help us on our journey towards having a more joyful life. One’s Altar is an excellent means for reminding ourselves to pray regularly. There are elaborate altars or simple ones.



 

My Altar

In my own house, the first Altar I ever had was a card table in the corner of my living room. I put a tablecloth on it with a picture of Jesus, a flower, and crystals. That was it. Through the years, my Altar changed as I became more spiritually aligned with my divine energy.

I started to meditate every day at the same time. I decided the best way for me to do this was through a guided meditation or visualization exercise. Meditation was short for me in the beginning, and yes, my thoughts interrupted me. Still, it didn’t stop me from getting back on track and listening to the music or the words of the meditation. It was around the same time that I also attended a meditation group once a week in my area.

 

Create our God Box

 Another favorite tool of mine is a God Box, which sits on my Altar next to Mother Mary.  When I need things to happen in my life, I write down what I am praying for. My box is one that I had in my bedroom already, so any box will do. When writing down prayers, be specific. Write the date, fold it up, and bless it.  For example, let us say we want a new job:

 

Dear God,

I would love to be in a wonderful work environment and would like a new

job. I want my job to have these qualities:

~Pays well (If you have a figure in mind, write it down.)

~Family friendly

~Close to home (Is there a specific city, town, or location where you want to work?)

~Working for friendly people

~Doing something I enjoy (Write down what you would enjoy doing at your job.)

Amen

 

Then put the note in the box and start taking specific action to make the new job become a reality.
