Vedic Astrology: Spring 2022 Planets Revolutionize Your Life
By Lalitha Donatella Riback
Suffering is optional this May, when healthy optimism, positive expansion, and deep happiness will make a significant comeback. Some key planets will be in perfect positions in the sky, settling into their most powerful signs. And especially the natural “benefics” Venus and Jupiter are likely to bring you more love, smiles, abundance, and joy.
Please Note: This article is based on Vedic astrology or Jyotish and the sidereal calendar. So the astrological transits of the planets reflect the actual astronomical positions as you would observe them concerning the constellations through a telescope. So the Vedic system makes very accurate predictions and is considered a science according to the Supreme Court of India.
JUPITER IN PISCES
After 12 years, Jupiter—the planet most associated with good fortune, expansion, higher wisdom, and prosperity—has returned to its sign Pisces, bringing inspiration, abundant wealth, devotional poetry, and help for co-creating with Source.
Those interested in enlightenment will receive incredible support from this planet that rules both the space element and the evolution of the human species. Neptune and Jupiter together in Pisces will magnify your intuition and transform you from the inside out.
According to Ayurvedic astrology, thanks to this rare conjunction of Jupiter-Neptune, you may begin to experience prophetic dreams, provided that you sleep naturally and keep a healthy diet. The accuracy and purity of predictive abilities depend largely on our level of consciousness.
A mass return to meditation and prayer is a natural result of this conjunction.
Leaving behind a long association with pessimistic Saturn, this comfortable and more spiritual Jupiter will go a long way to heal our collective fears and rebuild hope and trust in ourselves and the Divine.
If Pisces is a particularly beneficial astrological placement in your birth chart, Jupiter can bring you good luck, fame, and prosperity from your work, research, and long-distance travel.
If you have children, you’ll stop worrying excessively about them as their studies and health improve.
VENUS IN PISCES
Venus entered Pisces on April 26, infusing its natural gifts of social graces, beauty, and romantic love with devotional and universal undertones.
We may now witness a pleasant return to artistic beauty in the classical sense. The Italian Renaissance began in 1300, during a transit of Jupiter in Pisces when dogma and religious doctrines were replaced with mysticism and a more universal, all-accepting connection with the Divine.
During the Renaissance, shining objects resembling spaceships began appearing in the Italian paintings, adding mysterious allure to the otherworldly beauty of the Divine Mother, angels, men, women, and nature.
In Pisces, Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune—the most spiritual sign of the zodiac—will make a lasting impact and contribute to a positive outlook for the whole world. Fear and hopelessness will make space for new hopes of peace, unlimited growth, happier relationships, higher incomes, and further helpful knowledge.
SUN IN ARIES
Many don’t know that the Sun is the Vedic planet that rules the soul, royalty, power, self-esteem, vitality, and great wealth.
The Sun, the natural ruler of proud Leo, actually becomes exalted in Aries, the sign of Mars that helps you implement your ideas at super speed. Unfortunately, this transit only happens once a year, so this is a powerful time that you don’t want to miss.
Success will follow timely, innovative, courageous, and energetic steps to reach your goals and create new projects that can result in fame and recognition in your field.
In fact, from Aries the Sun—a conscious living being, not just a star—can offer its best qualities of personal sovereignty and self-esteem, ban insecurity and bring you success through youthful energy, strength, and enthusiasm.
Because the Sun will remain in Aries only until May 14, try to make the best of this transit in the first two weeks of the month.
SATURN IN AQUARIUS
On April 28, Saturn left Capricorn and moved into its other sign, Aquarius. Saturn co-rules Aquarius with Rahu, the obsessive, unconventional north lunar node.
Saturn in eccentric and humanitarian Aquarius brings innovation in space travel, restructuring of society, research in the most cutting-edge technologies, and new medicine. Still, it might also bring public unrest, leading later to positive social change, as happened in the 1960s.
We are collectively facing uncertain times, partly caused in the past two years by stern Saturn, a mighty messenger that announced delays and restrictions from Capricorn. From Aquarius, Saturn turns our focus to helping others, the underprivileged, elderly, and disabled individuals.
Of course, some have benefitted from the position of Saturn in Capricorn through their hard work, perseverance, and past efforts. But it was primarily a good transit for corporations.
The last time that Saturn was in Aquarius while Jupiter was in Pisces was in 1964.
Idealistic and innovative outlooks will change the focus from personal achievements to a sentiment that we are all in this together and need to help each other and the Earth.
Overall, we can all be grateful for this transit of taskmaster Saturn in compassionate, social-oriented Aquarius.
One of the best ways to use the energy of Saturn and personally benefit is, believe it or not, by doing charity to help those who suffer the most.
When you are doing something—however small—to help the world, the effects of Saturn on your consciousness and thoughts will turn from restrictive to a positive outlook that is service-oriented. This is what in Vedic astrology we call dharma or righteous duty.
