The Magus Card: Tarot Arcana March 2023
The Magus Card is the archetype of renewal and rebirth and invites us to start a new journey of self-discovery.
The Magus Card – Archetype of Renewal and Rebirth
The month of March 2023 comes to us, bringing the energy of renewal and rebirth. This telluric energy is assisted by the archetypical power of the Magus. It means we are entering a new phase as humans, as conscious parts of this amazing Planet.
The Magus Card invites us to start a new journey of self-discovery, restart our aspirations, and plant the new seeds of life that we want to see blossoming along our path.
It is an opening of a dimension with excitement and anticipation.
The Magus Card – The Beginning of a New Journey
For the Magus, the sacred is not something above us but a force that emerges from us. Therefore, everything is possible as it has a connection with the laws and harmony of the universe.
The Magus manipulates the four elements of matter: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, and makes them sacred, transforming the material into the spiritual. In the same way, he uses the four functions of consciousness: sensations, the intellect, emotions, and intuition, in the function of something greater – the soul.
This 2023 March Arcana archetype marks the beginning of our life – it is the mark of youth, which needs to experiment, make choices, to live the infinite possibilities that life offers.
One of the greatest features of this archetype is the feeling of synchronicity when everything in life seems to be connecting.
It is a being that transits, all the time, between the inside and the outside of its being and between different dimensions of reality.
It is in this archetype that the Whole manifests itself. The spirit becomes flesh. It brings the need to act, to take the first step.
He knows that we are all connected. He is a conscious, intelligent being with personal power and enormous communication skills.
It is through work that the Magus manifests, transforming all possibilities into probabilities and manifesting ideas into reality.
By keeping himself united with work, he will be loving life. Thus, he promotes a transformation in himself and in the world.
The Archetype of the Magus lives in our consciousness for many eons
When we talk about the archetype of the Magus (Magician), we can drink from three different sources:
The Ancient Alchemists:
The ancient magicians had three main objectives: to transform one element into another by chemistry, such as lead into gold; create an elixir that cures all diseases and create the elixir of immortality: the fountain of eternal youth.
Merlin – Advisor to King Arthur:
With his crystal ball and ability to predict the future, he changed the history of a kingdom. Yet, by observing an unpromising future for his community in his crystal ball, he created situations that favored a happy ending, reworked talents, and energized magical objects, among them, Excalibur, the magic sword – a symbol of bravery and enlightenment.
Hermes, the Messenger of the Gods:
Also known as Mercury, the God of eloquence, persuasion, metaphors, and diplomacy, bearer of good luck and intelligence, linked to commerce and music, he was the messenger of the gods. He carried winged sandals that gave them high speed in disseminating their messages and a magic wand in the form of a staff, known as a caduceus (a symbol of trade representing negotiation: balance between antagonistic forces). Associated with Hermes Trismegistus and his Hermetic Laws, this magician brings the possibility to bring transformation and redemption to our life Journey.
