Sandie Sedgbeer: The Voice of Conscious Media
OMTimes: Who was the biggest influence (positive or negative) on your life?
Sandie Sedgbeer: Let’s start with positive influences. To date, I would say…
1) My astrologer teacher/friend/mentor Lillian.
2) The teacher and founder of Mastering Alchemy, Jim Self.
3) Author, channel, and spiritual teacher Steve Rother, who I met within six weeks of arriving in the USA, who not only taught me so much but gave me so much – the magazine PlanetLightworker.com, the opportunity to step into broadcasting and to help him with his channeled books (from which I learned so much), and who is a master at creating a genuine culture of family, for those who are just waking up.
4) Too many of the authors that I’ve read along the way to mention.
5) And, currently, I have to add what I believe to be the most eye-opening, mind-blowing, gobsmacking book I have ever read, or to be more accurate, listened to (to date), LSD & The Mind of the Universe, and its author, Chris Bache, who I can’t wait to interview, and who I genuinely feel has to be the most courageous, honest, and unequivocally ego-less person/adventurer I’ve ever met.
OMTimes: Do you hold a mystical vision for the world?
Sandie Sedgbeer: I’ve always believed that one day, humanity will evolve to the point where we have mastered hate, war, and greed and learned to live in love, peace, harmony, and inclusion. I had no idea whether that was a realistic vision or not. But I am encouraged after reading Chris Bache’s book.
OMTimes: Have you had any experience with past life memories? Tell us a little about that.
Sandie Sedgbeer: I have had a couple of past life regression sessions, which were very interesting. And I have had a small number of spontaneous flashes of memories from past lives.
OMTimes: How is your relationship with your dream world?
Sandie Sedgbeer: Getting better and better.
OMTimes: Which book would you like to be written by you?
Sandie Sedgbeer: My own memoir. I have led “a life less ordinary,” as they say. And I have come a long way from where I started. I have in my head a trilogy of books about my life, my experiences, and my learning. Three volumes, titled HORNCHURCH (which is where I grew up in the children’s home), HACKNEY, a rough area in the East End of London that has now become gentrified and trendy where I spent a large part of my youth after leaving the children’s home) and HOLLYWOOD, where I lived for a while, and which would encompass everything I experienced throughout the first two decades of the new millennium. I’ve made a start (a very small start) and now need to get writing.
OMTimes: What developing idea/field that is gaining traction are you most excited about?
Sandie Sedgbeer: I love the fact that technology has evolved to the point where we now can know so much about the origins of our Universe, and so much information is being released about Consciousness, paleocontact, and the evolution of humanity, and above all, the evidence of our oneness.
OMTimes: Do you have a cookie-cutter recipe to help and guide someone who just started in Conscious Broadcasting?
Sandie Sedgbeer: I don’t believe in doing anything cookie-cutter. I created and have consulted a lot on resonance marketing, which is anything but cookie-cutter. I love that the playing field has leveled, and anyone with an interest can create their own podcast. But it is a competitive market, and there are essential dos and don’ts if someone wants to succeed, create interesting dialogues with fascinating people, and hold an audience’s attention. I am currently putting these together into a format for a Webinar, so I can’t reveal too much here. Otherwise, there won’t be a webinar.
OMTimes: What motivated you to create The No BS Book Club?
Sandie Sedgbeer: Honestly? The motivation, I thought, came from a gripe. People are waking up fast these days, and the Mind Body Spirit arena has become so lucrative that I and many others feel it is in danger of losing its authenticity and heart. And I was just getting so tired of the number of books being pitched to me for interviews that are clearly rehashes of other people’s work and totally lacking in substance that I began to despair.
With so much fluff crowding the market, how would people who were just waking up know what is worth their money and what isn’t? I was having a mental gripe conversation with myself about this one day when suddenly, and quite literally, a visual image popped up in front of me. My mind was struck with a fully formed vision of a No BS book club that would contain recommendations from authentic and trusted teachers, speakers, scientists, and authors who have walked the path in front of us. Anyone can recommend a book, but when the people you trust and follow share the books that influenced them the most on their life journeys, provide their recommendations and tell you the stories of how and why they inspired them, that’s a valuable resource right there.
I literally saw it all in an instant. And it looked wonderful and necessary. And I turned my back on it. It seemed too big a task, too expensive to implement, and too time-consuming to manage. I’ve had ‘visions’ like this before. And I’ve invested the time, money, and energy into seeing them come to fruition. I’ve pioneered magazines. And, this is not bragging, but I know that I have been ahead of the curve… And that’s not necessarily a good thing, because when you’re the first, you need a lot of time, energy, and money to keep them alive until the rest of the world catches up with their need. And I’ve lost a lot of money. So, I didn’t feel like that again. “Fabulous idea,” I said to the Universe, “now go find someone else to do it.” But it wouldn’t go away. So, over the following year, I’d look at it sideways for a moment or two every now and then. And then, one day, I just knew it… this was mine to do. So, I did it. And it is time and energy and money-consuming. And it is one of the most rewarding projects I have ever undertaken.
So, this is it. This is my legacy project. And I’m having a lot of fun doing it. Now, all we need to do is let the rest of the world know about it. I want to keep it free for subscribers and the public. It’s a world service project that belongs to us all. And, realistically, I cannot continue funding it myself forever. So, I am looking at ways to support its future financially. But I won’t sacrifice the purity of the concept. So, I’m looking into ways that it can become self-funding without the public having to pay for it.
OMTimes: Tell us a little about how people can contact and work with you.
Sandie Sedgbeer: People can contact me at sandie.sandiesedgbeershow@gmail.com. Suppose anyone is attracted to the idea of working with me. In that case, I will encourage them to go to my website (www.sedgbeer.com), where they can read a bit more about me and some of the things I have done here, and what people say about me here.
